The formulation of baby shower gel should have the following characteristics
Strict supply control of raw materials to avoid undesirable impurities;
While ensuring the cleansing function, minimize the types and quantities of additives used;
Avoid preservatives, flavors, dyes and other raw ingredients that are likely to cause skin allergic reactions;
The products are mostly transparent or translucent, which can avoid the use of pearl paste and other substances, thereby reducing the source of irritation.
Formula composition
①We use alkyl glycosides, alkyl amphoteric acetate, and amphoteric betaine surfactants to ensure the formula’s mildness and improve the product’s performance.
②The pH of baby shower gel is generally neutral or mildly acidic, which is close to the pH of the skin’s surface. Before the product goes on the market, the stability of the product needs to be investigated. Generally, through high and low temperature accelerated experiments, the appearance and odour changes of the product are observed, and the pH and viscosity changes of the product are tested. The product should also be rich in foam, but easy to rinse. And the skin should feel soft and moisturized and not dry after washing.
③The total number of bacteria of baby shower gel shall not exceed 500cfu/mL or 500cfu/g, and no heat-resistant coliforms, Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa shall be detected. Each batch of products must be tested for the number of colonies before leaving the factory and can be released only after meeting the requirements.
